GIFT's role in affecting a Global Impact entails finding, advocating, helping to fund and managing innovative compassionate ministry tools the Church can deploy to alleviate suffering and minister in the name of Jesus. These include the world's most innovative tools for water filtration and farm irrigation pumps that we're installing through and with the Church.

Through these high impact, low cost tools, GIFT helps people fulfill on God's desire that we love others and address their suffering.

The Bible says we only love if we help those who are in need, "This is how we know what love is; Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him?" 1 John 3: 16 - 17, NIV

Pope Benedict XVI, in his 2009 call for world peace, noted there can be no true peace without addressing global poverty. "Many individuals and indeed whole peoples are living today in conditions of extreme poverty. The gap between rich and poor has become more marked. Effective means to redress the marginalization of the world's poor...will only be found if people everywhere feel personally outraged by the injustices in the world."

And President Obama's innauguration address even highlighted and substantiated the needs GIFT is supporting through the Church:

"To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean water flow..." Yes, there's substantiated need for GIFT's irrigation pumps and filters.
